To celebrate 90 years of service to communities in North Dakota, Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota is hosting a 90th anniversary celebration at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1821 Ninth Ave. W., Williston.
God gives strength to those in need
There’s an Old Testament story found in Genesis 16, which speaks clearly of the awesome God we serve. It’s the story of an Egyptian slave named Hagar, the servant girl of Abraham’s wife. Without all the details, suffice it to say Hagar found herself caught in the middle of a ‘love triangle’ struggle involving herself, Abraham and Abraham’s wife, Sarah.

What are you going to be for Halloween? Usually kids have their costumes picked out for several weeks prior to this holiday. I am always amazed at how creative some folks are with their costumes and that in 2006, we spent $4.6 billion on costumes just for Halloween, not counting the candy we bought.
