An accident report from the North Dakota Highway Patrol stated that the accident happened at 8:30 a.m. Sunday on North Dakota Highway 50 west of Appam.
John Trisch, 56, Powers Lake, was traveling westbound on his 2003 Harley Davidson on Highway 50 when he ran off the roadway and into the north ditch.
Trisch tried to drive back onto the roadway but was unable to do so because of tall, wet grass. He went down towards the bottom of the ditch and lost control. Trisch was ejected from his bike as it rolled.
Trisch was transported by the Powers Lake Ambulance to Tioga Medical Center for treatment of injuries. He was later cited for care required. The Burke County Sheriff’s Office also assisted at the accident.
