The District 15 volleyball tournament starts off tonight in Stanley with a pair of quarterfinal matches.

Fourth-seeded Trenton will play fifth-seeded New Town at 6 p.m., and No. 3 Trinity Christian plays No. 6 Parshall.

The winners move on to play top-seeded Stanley and No. 2 Watford City in the semifinals on Tuesday, and the loser will wait for the semifinal losers in play-in games on Thursday.

All told, four of the six teams will be moving on to next week's Region 8 tournament.

"Obviously, our goal is to get into the regional tournament," said Trinity Christian coach Beth Zarling. "But we'd like to probably get in as maybe a second-place, that would probably be the goal." Trenton, as the fourth seed, will just need to hold their seed to make it to next week's regionals.

"It's anybody's game," said Trenton coach Jean Turcotte.
