Lady Coyotes split weekend matches By Mark Jones/Sports EditorBISMARCK ” The Williston High School Lady Coyotes split a pair of weekend volleyball matches. The Coyotes lost in four games at Bismarck Friday night. Bismarck won by scores of 25-27, 26-24, 16-25 and 25-16. Williston bounced back with a four-game win at Mandan on Saturday. The Lady Coyotes won by scores of 25-22, 25-19, 21-25 and 25-19. “We hustled,” said Williston High volleyball coach Rebecca Waitman of the match against Bismarck. “Overall, we played great.” Despite the win, Saturday’s win was a bit of a letdown. “They didn’t play to their potential,” Waitman said. Ashley Slade finished with 20 kills on the weekend for Williston, while Jaden Lynch had 61 assists. Williston will close out the regular season Tuesday with a home match against Minot.
